Abstract
This paper analyzes the effects of the unbalanced-magnetic-pull develo ped in spindle motors for hard disk drives, An analytical technique is used in the investigation which is based on magnetic circuit and fiel d theory. Computational results show that the UMP development is close ly related to the magnetic structure, armature winding and armature cu rrent of the spindle motors.
