Abstract
FEM is a favored motor design tool for its high accuracy. Magnetic equ ivalent circuit analysis, an alternative to FEM, is becoming popular f or its fair accuracy and quick repetition of computation. An equivalen t circuit model of a brushless DC motor is developed and its ability t o, accurately predict various motor performance parameters is assessed .
