Abstract
Current research by the author on the Acanthaceae treatment for the Fl ora of Ecuador has resulted in the recognition of a new species from A mazonian Ecuador and Peru. Razisea ericae is described, illustrated, a nd compared with its closest relatives in Costa Rica, Panama, and Colo mbia.
