Abstract
The effect of compressibility on the static scattering from polymer mi xtures is critically evaluated through a general thermodynamic analysi s. We find that compressibility plays an important role for blends com prised of chains with disparate chemical structures, and that it is ef fectively irrelevant for blends with similar chemical structures.
