Abstract
First, using a model of the transverse propagation delays in a GaAs ME SFET, a method for calculating the delays in the cascaded GaAs MESFET- based DCFL inverters is presented The algorithm has been used to study the dependence of the delays on the various MESFET and inverter desig n parameters. Next, an attempt has been made to validate the model by comparing the modeling results with those obtained by actual experimen tal measurements on several custom-designed inverter chains. Good agre ement was observed between the expected and the experimental values. ( C) 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
