Rg. Lobetti et J. Pearson, MAGNETIC-RESONANCE-IMAGING IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF FOCAL GRANULOMATOUS MENINGOENCEPHALITIS IN 2 DOGS, Veterinary radiology & ultrasound, 37(6), 1996, pp. 424-427
Two dogs with neurologic signs were evaluated by magnetic resonance im
aging of the brain, Focal space-occupying lesions were present in both
dogs, In the first, the lesion was in the brain stem and in the secon
d, in the cerebellum, In one dog the lesion was only evident after adm
inistration of gadolinium-DTPA-dimeglumine. Based on the magnetic reso
nance images, neoplasia was suspected in both dogs but histopathologic
ally, granulomatous meningoencephalomyelitis was diagnosed.
