Abstract
The reaction of lithium dialkylamides with carbon monoxide has been st udied under several reaction conditions. Evidence about the mechanism of this reaction has been afforded. it is shown that whereas the carbo nylation of aryllithiums takes place by electron transfer mechanism, i n the reactions of lithium dialkylamides no evidence for radical inter mediates was found.
