E. Pavarini et Lc. Andreani, STABILITY OF SU(N) SYMMETRY IN THE COQBLIN-SCHRIEFFER MODEL BY THE PERTURBATIVE RENORMALIZATION-GROUP, Physical review. B, Condensed matter, 56(9), 1997, pp. 5073-5076
A generalized version of the Coqblin-Schrieffer Hamiltonian for the lo
w-temperature behavior of Ce and Yb Kondo systems is studied, in which
the SU(N) symmetry in angular momentum space is assumed to be broken
by, e.g., splittings in the excited f-impurity configurations. Using t
he perturbative renormalization group we show that SU(N) breaking inte
ractions scale to weak coupling, and therefore their presence does not
alter the low-temperature physics of the model. We also discuss the i
nfluence of SU(N) breaking interactions on the Kondo temperature.
