ON DETERMINING THE OPTICAL GAP ASSOCIATED WITH AN AMORPHOUS-SEMICONDUCTOR - A GENERALIZATION OF THE TAUC MODEL

We propose a generalization of the Tauc model which follows directly f rom some recent theoretical developments. The implications of this mod el, with regards to the determination of the optical gap associated wi th an amorphous semiconductor, are then discussed. (C) 1997 Elsevier S cience Ltd.
