Abstract
A contact dynamics recording and analysis system configured using an o ptical fiber sensor has been developed having been designed with a par ticular application to the accurate and time-varying description of mo ving contact operating during electrical arc breaking, in an experimen tal platform simulating the operation of a vacuum circuit breaker. The system utilizes dynamic displacement measurement and data recording a nd a post-process data analysis to reveal the dynamic speed and accele ration data of the equipment.
