Abstract
We have made ultrasonic investigations of Ce0.5La0.5B6 below 1 K. A re markable increase of the attenuation of the C44 mode is due to the flu ctuation of the quadrupolar moment of the GAMMA8 ground state. The eff ects of the Kondo singlet formation at very low temperatures are discu ssed.
