Abstract
A review is given on the results of magnetic, transport and Mossbauer effect studies performed on two systems UFe1-NixAl and UFe1-xCoxAl. In addition, chemical bonding, based on the distribution of electron den sities in the unit cell of these systems, will be discussed. It appear s that the latter is mostly responsible for the anomalous behavior of the lattice parameters and the magnetic as well as hyperfine propertie s observed in these alloys.
