Abstract
A 39-year-old woman presented with progressively severe, sharp abdomin al pain of three days' duration. The pain originated in the right lowe r quadrant of the abdomen and radiated to the back and suprapubic area . It worsened on ambulation and was associated with nausea and loose s tools.
