Abstract
I realize that magnesium containing laxatives should not generally by used in dialysis patients. I've often wondered, however, whether there is really any significant harm in using one or two doses to treat con stipation. Is there? About how much might serum magnesium be expected to rise after 30 or 60 mL of milk of magnesia?
