le fluid The response of the boundary layer encountering a two-dimensi
onal hump on a flat plate is studied. Using Veldman's simultaneous met
hod to calculate interacting boundary lavers the asymptotic structure
of the triple deck model can be taken into account. The results are co
mpared with full Navier-Stokes solutions, and some aspects of the asym
ptotic triple-deck theory can be brought into evidence.
