Aj. Moreno et al., AC SUSCEPTIBILITY CHARACTERIZATION OF BI-SR-CA-CU-O(2212) SINGLE-CRYSTALS - ANNEALING EFFECTS, Solid state ionics, 99(3-4), 1997, pp. 251-256
Single crystals of Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox have been grown by directional solidi
fication method in order to analyze annealing effects on critical supe
rconducting temperature (T-c) by AC susceptibility measurements. Struc
tural modifications were studied by X-ray diffraction. A decrease of t
he transition width was observed in samples treated in oxygen or argon
atmospheres at 500 degrees C for 10 h. Higher T-c values were obtaine
d for argon annealings. The magnitude of T-c changes and its correlati
on with c lattice parameter is found to be sample-dependent.
