Vv. Kharton et al., FORMATION AND PROPERTIES OF REACTION LAYERS OF COBALTITE ELECTRODES ON BISMUTH OXIDE ELECTROLYTES, Solid state ionics, 99(3-4), 1997, pp. 269-280
Interaction of electrodes consisting of perovskite-like rare earth ele
ments (REE) and strontium cobaltites with Bi0.75Y0.25O1.5 solid electr
olyte has been studied. Formation of solid solutions La1-x-ySrxBiyCoO3
-delta (x = 0-0.5; y = 0-0.1) as well as (Bi1-xCox)(1-y)YyO1.5 (x=0-0.
4; y =0-0.25) can occur in the diffusion layer between cobaltite elect
rodes and Bi2O3-based solid electrolytes. The crystal structure, elect
rical conductivity and oxygen permeability of these solid solutions ha
ve been investigated. It has been found that the values of the conduct
ivity and oxygen permeability of La(Sr,Bi)CoO3-delta solid solutions d
ecrease with increasing bismuth content. The results of the investigat
ion of polarization resistance of oxide electrodes in contact with Bi0
.75Y0.25O1.5 solid electrolyte are presented.
