Abstract
The new germanate vanadates Ln(11)GeV(3)O(26) (Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu ), isostructural with the germanate phosphates Ln(11)GeP(3)O(26), were synthesized. All of the compounds studied crystallize in the triclini c system, with the lattice parameters decreasing monotonically in goin g from La to Eu.
