Abstract
The functionality of conventional electromagnetic induction flowmeters can be extended using multiple electrode and/or coil pairs. After mod elling the signal generation with special regard on the spatial distri bution of the fluid flow velocity, three extended flowmeters are prese nted: a multiple-electrode flowmeter with minimized flow profile depen dency, a model-based method for viscosity measurement of non-Newtonian fluids, and a multiple-electrode/multiple-coil system for non-paramet ric flow profile reconstruction.
