OVERCOMING THE EVANESCENT DIFFRACTION - AN IDEA

In terms of the two-point resolution, we demonstrate that the resoluti on of optical microscope is limited either by the homogeneous diffract ion (conventional microscopes) or by the evanescent diffraction (near- field microscopes). And the later may be circumvented by measuring the non-radiative, namely the self field in the quantum range of the obje cts.
