Abstract
The phase behavior of systems containing ethanol plus lipid samples wi th different lipid compositions plus carbon dioxide was studied visual ly at 40 degrees C and pressures of 0.01, 9, 15, and 23 MPa by means o f a high-pressure sapphire cell. The systems studied represent the mai n components present in a lipase-catalyzed alcoholysis reaction of cod liver oil in supercritical carbon dioxide. Two phases, a vapor and a liquid phase, were observed in all systems studied at supercritical co nditions.
