Abstract
Purification of soybean lipoxygenase isoenzyme-l was reinvestigated fu rnishing a new procedure. Different parameters influencing the hydrope roxide production were studied. Our study focused particularly on the enzyme activity inhibition by the reaction products. Dixon plots revea led competitive inhibition with Ki value of 0.45 and 1.5 mM respective ly for 13-linoleic and 13-linolenic acid hydroperoxides.
