Abstract
Neutron diffraction studies of the mixed carbides Ti0.84Ta0.16C0.63 an d Ti0.7Ta0.3C0.6 at T similar or equal to 1.143 K reveal short-range o rder in the metal sublattice. The Ti-Ta interaction depends on carbon stoichiometry.
