Abstract
In this article the application of CIMOSA in a typical aluminium casti ng plant is described. The aim of this application was to validate CIM OSA modelling and IIS (Integrating Infrastructure) concepts and method ologies against specified criteria such as integrity, effectiveness, a nd added value. This application was done during ESPRIT projects VOICE (EP 5510) and VOICE II (EP 6682). The process followed and the result s of the validation are described in this article.
