Abstract
Multilayer Ag-BSCCO-2223 composites have been fabricated by open-die h ot forging to study the role of Ag in densification and microstructura l development. The composite microstructures were produced using Ag-co ated BSCCO particles produced from a chemical precipitation technique. Grain alignment and Ag microstructure effects were characterized via optical and electron microscopy.
