Abstract
Single crystals of lithium triborate LiB3O5 (LBO) have been grown by t he top-seeded solution growth method with B2O3 as a solvent using diff erent temperature gradients in the zone of crystallization. Optical an d nonlinear optical properties of LBO single crystals have been invest igated. The influence of post-growth thermal treatment in oxygen atmos phere on the optical properties has been studied.
