Abstract
An analytic and an iterative method for calculating novel ''quasiperio dic'' diffractive optical elements (DOEs) capable to focus the radiati on into an optical axis segment are developed. A quasiperiodic DOE can be treated as a set concentric rings with each of them forming the en tire focusing segment. The executed numerical studies have shown the h igher efficiency of quasiperiodic DOEs as compared with known focusing DOEs.
