Abstract
A review based on 135 references concerns the design and properties of electrochemical biosensors for 13 different substrates of enzymatic r eactions. In the sensors discussed the enzymes are immobilized within or on the top of electropolymerized films, mostly of conducting polyme rs. Amperometric detection is most often used for internal electrochem ical sensing.
