In literature, different approaches for the emissivity are given in or
der to determine temperature out of pyrometrically measured radiances.
Therewith the question is controversially discussed, to what extent m
ore exact determination of temperature becomes possible by pyrometry o
n many (more than two) wave-lengths. It is common to all methods, that
there are limitations with respect to the functional dependence of emi
ssivity on wave-length. On the contrary, the presented procedures need
no assumptions in parts about the wavelength dependence of emissivity
. Furthermore, the second proposed method proves to be of higher order
than the two-channel pyro-metry which is a special case of the evalua
ted multi-channel method. Also the question for the needed number of m
easuring channels is dealt.
