A CASE-STUDY APPROACH TO ANALYZING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CHILDREN AND SERVICES IN A SYSTEM OF CARE

Evaluations of mental health system-of-care programs need to include q uantitative and qualitative data. To date, must of these evaluations h ave collected primarily quantitative data. A single case study approac h that uses case records and interviews of children, parents, and prof essional staff can provide informative qualitative data. In this artic le, the relationship between a child and family and a system of care i s examined through a single case analysis. The methodology to collect the case record and interview data, and to analyze and graphically ill ustrate the data, are presented.
