Abstract
This article considers processes of change and persistence in educatio nal psychology within a historical context. The immediate impetus for such an exploratory investigation has come from the current local gove rnment reorganization in the UK which is of relevance to educational p sychologists in relation to theories, paradigms and practice. Models f or processes of change and continuance are discussed.
