The data from a case study involving the optimization of the sealing f
unction of an automobile door weatherstrip is modelled using multiple
regression models. It is demonstrated that the experimental statistics
which are needed to calculate signal-to-noise performance statistics
may be readily obtained with the use of a linear statistical model.
