Abstract
Raman spectroscopy data show that the correlation radius in the Na2O-Z nO-SiO2 system decreases on going from sodium disilicate to zinc-conta ining materials (at a constant SiO2 content). The effect of zinc is re lated to a decrease in the mobility of SiO4 tetrahedra as a result of the densification of the silicon-oxygen network.
