Abstract
This article, takes a fresh look at employee selection interviews as t hey are practiced in most organizations. Interviewers' selection decis ions are demonstrated to be idiosyncratic and it is concluded that var iation in interviewers' decision processes jeopardizes organizational effectiveness.
