Abstract
In this work an approach to image restoration is achieved by second or der derivative operator. We propose a very simple method of image proc essing as a deconvolution corresponding to the transfer function of th e acquisition system. The case of optical microscopy is considered and the procedure is verified on test images. Images from fluorescence mi croscopy are restored using this derivative method and the quality of restoration is discussed in comparison with usually used technique.
