Mc. Dasilva et al., LONG-RANGE PLANNING OF POWER DISTRIBUTION-SYSTEMS - SECONDARY NETWORKS, Computers & electrical engineering, 22(3), 1996, pp. 179-191
This paper presents an optimization-based methodology for low-voltage
distribution network design. The system is composed of three mathemati
cal models: distribution transformer location, secondary feeder routin
g and transformer sizing, and primary-transformer interconnection. A h
euristic solution approach calculates the actual total installation co
st for an increasing number of transformers until the minimum cost sol
ution that meets the forecast demand and problem constraints is attain
ed. Results are compared with those obtained by using an empirical app
roach. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
