p-Type InSb(Gd) materials with N-Gd = 10(16)-10(18) cm(-3) were prepar
ed by zone melting. The maximum sensitivity of R(H), Delta rho/rho, Q,
and Delta alpha to magnetic held was observed near the magnetothermop
ower-inversion temperature, which, therefore, can be used to identify
the range of conditions under which the material exhibits maximum magn
etic sensitivity. With increasing Gd concentration, the peak magnitude
s of Delta alpha and Q rise significantly, indicating that thermomagne
tic measurements on heavily doped InSb provide a larger body of inform
ation.
