Vi. Levchenko et Li. Postnova, EFFECT OF VACUUM ANNEALING ON THE ELECTRICAL-PROPERTIES OF LEAD SULFIDE EPITAXIAL LAYERS, Inorganic materials, 32(9), 1996, pp. 934-935
The effect of vacuum annealing on the electrical properties of undoped
lead sulfide epilayers on barium fluoride substrates was characterize
d by Hall effect measurements. The through-thickness variation in the
concentration of nonstoichiometric defects is attributed to sulfur eva
poration from the surface layer. In p-type layers, type conversion in
the near-surface region results in the formation of a p-n junction, wi
th parameters controlled by annealing temperature and time.
