Abstract
This paper presents the analysis of the kinematic characteristics of 3 degrees-of-freedom (DOF) parallel actuated pyramid mechanisms using r eciprocal screw theory. The parallel actuated spherical 3-RRR mechanis m and its two variations are discussed first. Then 3-RPS, 3-RRS, 3-CS, 3-PRS, 3-TPT and 3-PSP parallel actuated pyramid mechanisms are analy sed.
