Abstract
The effect of rare-earth additives on the liquid-phase epitaxy of III- V compounds from gallium fluxes was examined in relation to the proper ties of growing epilayers. interactions of the additives and impuritie s were investigated by DTA. Criteria were established for choosing rar e-earth additives to be used as gettering agents in the growth of III- V epilayers.
