Abstract
Stable mixed Langmuir films on a graphite surface were prepared by inc orporating cluster molecules into monolayers of stearic acid. Surface imaging by scanning tunneling microscopy showed that the clusters form an ordered two-dimensional lattice. We revealed correlated electron t unneling in a two-junction tunnel system containing an isolated cluste r.
