Abstract
The biochemical and behavioral properties of (-)-nicotine, isoarecolon e, (+/-)-epibatidine and the novel nAChR ligands ABT-418, ABT-089, A-8 5380, SIB-1663, SIB-1765F, SIB-1508Y, RJR-2403 and GTS-21 are summariz ed. The potential therapeutic of these compounds is discussed in view of their effect in several animal models of CNS disorders.
