Abstract
The effects of gamma (Co-60, F = 10(19) cm(-2)) and fast-neutron (F = 2 x 10(18) n/cm(2)) irradiations on the electrical and optical propert ies of cadmium antimonide were investigated. Both types of irradiation were found to produce donor and acceptor centers related to intrinsic lattice defects, the generation rate being higher for donors than for accepters. The changes in physical properties are caused in large par t by elastic strains around defects.
