The test of acceleration sensors which are dedicated for the usage as
airbag sensors applies high demands on the according production test s
ystem. On the one hand the test methods have to reach a high test spee
d, to satisfy the extreme throughput conditions. On the other hand the
re ale high demands on the measurement accuracy and the measurement sa
fety. This article introduces measurement procedures which meet these
conflicting demands and which are applied in a production solution. Th
e paper discusses the definition of the test parameters of airbag sens
ors, the theoretical methods of the signal analysis for their determin
ation and the technical solution of the sample system.
