Abstract
The novel monochromator housing for a Johansson bent monochromator cry stal is a fully shielded three-axis Eulerian cradle upon an xy-transla tion unit. Telescopic beam guides with movable suspensions yield radia tion-save connections to the X-ray source, the monitor and the diffrac tometer. Micrometer screws with scales control the translations and tw o of the Eulerian angles, chi, phi, the third, omega, is remotely cont rolled. For radiation-save adjustment, the Ge 111 reflection may be ob served on a removable fluorescent-screen insert behind a glass window, which makes it easy to check the reproducible adjustment at any time
