Abstract
Male and female brains differ. This difference can be demonstrated mor phologically as well as biochemically; it implies differences in behav ior. This is demonstrated on the basis of a survey of recent studies o n animals and human beings. It is shown that even sexual orientations (homo-/heterosermality) are reflected anatomically. It is nevertheless emphasized that only environmentally induced influences provide the f inal shaping of anatomical structures.
