R. Elmallawany, THEORETICAL-ANALYSIS OF ULTRASONIC WAVE ATTENUATION AND ELASTIC-MODULI OF TELLURITE GLASSES, Materials chemistry and physics, 39(2), 1994, pp. 161-165
The shape of the loss peaks of ultrasonic attenuation in the range 120
-300 K for binary molybdenum tellurite glasses (i.e., the shape of the
relaxation spectra), the mean activation energy, and the elastic modu
li at room temperature are strongly composition sensitive. The composi
tion dependence of the position and overall shape of the loss peaks an
d the mean activation energies were analysed and correlated with the b
ulk modulus and the mean cation-anion stretching force constant. Also,
the mean activation energy VBAR has been found to be strongly depende
nt upon the value of the oxygen density.
