This paper investigates a stochastic model of a dynamic National Broad
casting Network (NBN) system. In this model a Central Relay Station (C
RS) is connected with n-Remote Relay Stations (RRSs). Each of them has
an equal frequency of relaying the national programmes. An RRS may fa
il temporarily due to irregular power supply, disturbed antenna direct
ion etc. Either the CRS or all the RRSs may fail permanently due to co
mmon cause failure, i.e., electromagnetic interference. Periodic preve
ntive maintenance (PM) of the system is essential for regular operatio
n of the network. To detect these kinds of faults, a detection cell is
also available. The regenerative point technique is applied for the a
nalysis of such a network system.
