Abstract
The electrodeposition of cadmium telluride is investigated with the ai m of improving the structural and optical properties of the CdTe layer s for use in possible solar cell applications. The CdTe layers are cha racterized by X-ray diffraction spectroscopy, transmission measurement s, spectral response and by scanning electron microscopy. The influenc e of the electrodeposition potential and of the substrate used on the properties of the CdTe is discussed.
