A method is described to trace prophame and chlorprophame by means of
HPLC and a diode-array technique device. The procedure actually requir
es an additional cleaning step through gel chromatography, but derivat
ization, as opposed to the GC-ECF method, is not necessary. At lowest
concentrations, the use of narrow-bore columns will furnish results th
at are comparable to those of GC.
